Retail Partnership Lead
Wilmington, DE

As a Barclays Retail Partnership Lead you will be responsible for working with a new premier partner within our Travel and Affinity segment. The program represents a significant contribution to the growth and results for the Travel and Affinity segment. You will own the overall strategy and P&L accountability for the program in addition to overseeing the launch of the new program.

What will you be doing?
•   Building and maintaining positive relationships with key contacts and executive management at the partner
•   Being accountable for delivering STP / P&L goals, product strategy, marketing, and existing customer marketing strategies
•   Identifying potential risks that could be detrimental to growth plan or the overall relationship and develop/implement action plans to address risks
•   Identifying and implementing customer experience enhancements for customers
•   Working with the partner to launch the new program including a conversion of the existing portfolio from current issuer
•   Maintaining program features (new account acquisition channels, existing customer offers, benefit & offer fulfilment, etc.)

What we’re looking for:

•   Bachelor’s degree business related field
•   10+ years of business experience preferably in financially oriented consumer market
•   5+ years of experience managing a partner(s) and setting strategic direction

Skills that will help you in the role:
•   Master’s degree
•   Solid oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with various levels of individuals cross-functionally
•   Demonstrated P&L accountability and ownership; ability to communicate and make decisions with the partner; judgement skills to intuitively understand the P&L
•   Good decision-making; ability to have independent judgment and challenge the status quo is required

Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christina River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
